Provisions Deli & Grocery
56 Wallace Street, Braidwood NSW 2622, Braidwood NSW
The Story
On the corner of Wallace and Lascelles streets, this deli, grocery and crêperie brings a distinctly French accent to Braidwood's main street. Paloma Marquez, originally from Brittany, and her husband Stephane Yau serve savoury buckwheat galettes and sweet crêpes to order, while the shelves hold artisan cheeses, charcuterie, curated wines and ciders, and a tight edit of pantry goods, homewares and gifts. It works equally as a sit-down café and a provisioning stop for cooks and picnickers heading into the surrounding tablelands and the Araluen valley. Open through the week with slightly longer weekend hours, it has quickly become a fixture for locals and a reliable reason for passing travellers to pull off the highway.
