Elski Ice Creamery
Elski brings a distinctly Danish sensibility to the WA coast at Dunsborough, where the seasons of the southwest meet the disciplines of Italian gelato and Scandinavian craft. The name means love, and the approach is unmistakably Nordic: do fewer things, do them exceptionally, and churn only in small seasonal batches. Everything is made on site from pure milk and cream, fresh fruit and honest ingredients — no synthetic colours, no flavour pastes. Beyond the rotating gelato case sit the Danish staples that set the place apart: flødeboller, the airy marshmallow-and-chocolate treat, and classic guf, both fixtures of nearly every ice creamery back in Denmark. On Saturday mornings the operation shifts gears as Fika, its coffee-and-pastry sibling. It is a considered, quietly confident little maker in a town more used to surf and wine.
