Wellshot Hotel

A century-old outback pub that found its permanent site at Ilfracombe in 1890, on Main Avenue near the old railway east of Longreach. Its lounge bar is built from an antique timber woolpress, and the walls carry hats, early photographs and bush memorabilia. Cold beers and country-style meals are the order of the day, with a coffee hatch, beer garden and budget rooms out the back.
