Walcha Road Hotel

A country pub on the New England tableland, standing opposite the old Walcha Road railway station since 1860. The kitchen turns out hearty plates made in-house, from homemade pizzas to schnitzels and rich sauces, while European beers rotate on tap alongside a small bottle shop. An open fire warms the bar through the tableland winters. Isolated and unpretentious, it draws travellers off the highway and farmers from the surrounding country.
