Set in a heritage shopfront in the river port of Ulmarra, this cafe-and-provisions room has built its name on pies made on site, sold alongside house-made jams, sauces and relishes, local ice creams and shelves of regional produce. The kitchen leans deliberately local, working toward a low-waste, farm-to-table model that draws on regeneratively grown ingredients where it can. An all-day breakfast menu and reliable coffee bring in the Tuesday-to-Sunday trade, but the draw is as much the takeaway counter and the courtyard out back as any single dish. It reads as a genuine village grocer-cum-cafe rather than a tourist stop, even as day-trippers wandering Ulmarra's antique-lined main street have made it a fixture. The oversized pies, in particular, have become a talking point up and down the valley.
