The Oyster Farmers Daughter
On the shore of Narooma's Wagonga Inlet, The Oyster Farmers Daughter is exactly what its name promises. Natasha Coxon runs this boutique food trailer as the fourth generation of a Far South Coast oyster family; the Sydney rock oysters she serves are her father Brian's, grown just metres away at the Coxon farm where he has worked the leases for more than thirty years. You can take them however you like — dressed a dozen ways at the trailer, or opened and unopened by the box to carry home. Around the oysters sits a short, proudly local menu: fish and chips from the catch of nearby vessels, Allie's cold-pressed juices, and a small list of creative cocktails and wine from the licensed bar. Perched over one of the prettiest inlets on the coast, it's a place to settle in of an afternoon with friends and the freshest thing in the water.
