The Story
Part of Petersham Bowling Club, a community-owned, not-for-profit venue established in 1896 and pokie-free since 2007. The in-house bistro serves the club's members and visitors alongside the greens, live music and events that keep the place running. The wider club leans on its community: annual social membership is $5, fundraising is underway for accessibility upgrades to the greens and grounds, and the calendar runs to book nights, dark-beer evenings, a spring fair and a 130th birthday marking twenty years of community ownership.
