Naracoorte's most decorated kitchen operates, improbably, out of a family-run motel on Fourth Avenue. A three-time regional winner in the Australian Good Food Guide, the dining room turns out a Modern Australian menu that shifts with the seasons and leans hard on Limestone Coast produce, poured alongside boutique wines from Coonawarra, Wrattonbully and the wider region. Coffee comes from Melbourne's Dukes. Dinner runs Wednesday to Saturday by booking, with breakfast most mornings, a deliberately small operation that rewards planning ahead. For a town better known as a stopover than a destination, it is the standout table, and a reminder that some of the Limestone Coast's most careful cooking happens away from the cellar doors.
