The Story
Australia's oldest continuously licensed inn, built 1834 in local sandstone and convict-laid brick. Bistro 1834 serves hearty pub food—steaks, schnitzel, squid—with seating for 160 across stone-walled dining rooms, verandah, and beer garden. The venue hosts trivia nights, live music sessions, and weekend performances. Located in the heritage village of Berrima on the old Hume Highway.
