Occupying a shopfront beneath the Reef Apartments on Wharf Street, this Asian-fusion kitchen has built a steady local following since opening in 2015. The cooking leans Japanese, with a sushi and sashimi bar at its centre and a broader menu of noodles and share plates drawing on flavours from across the region. Windows face the waterfront, and Friday evenings bring live music as the sun drops over Wallis Lake. The kitchen serves through the day and into the evening, closing at 8:30pm Sunday to Thursday and 9pm on Friday and Saturday, so a proper dinner is easy to land midweek. It remains an independent, owner-run restaurant rather than a chain outlet. Tables are worth reserving on weekends and through the holiday stretch, when the waterfront rooms are in demand.
