The Story
Oyster Bay Tours operates guided experiences at the Swanport Estuary, where visitors wade into the water to learn oyster farming and shucking techniques. Tours include fresh Pacific oysters and steamed mussels paired with local Riesling, enjoyed on the riverbank overlooking Hazard mountain range. A 4-hour option combines the farm experience with an afternoon at Freycinet Vineyard. Run by a husband-and-wife team, tours depart from Freycinet Marine Farm Shop and operate seasonally on select weekdays and weekends. Multi-award-winning and featured on Getaway.
