The Story

A Middle Eastern grocer, deli, fresh food market and café on North Road, run by the Makool family since 1998 — three generations on from their arrival from Lebanon in the 1970s. The gourmet grocery range is deep and international, the deli substantial, and the kitchen turns out a café menu, catering and cooking classes under founder and executive chef Marwa Makool. A second store trades at Fairfield. Open Saturday to Thursday 8am to 7pm, Friday to 8pm, public holidays 9am to 5pm.
