The Story

Housed in what was once the 1930s art-deco Lido Cabaret hall on Cottesloe Beach, this Italian-inspired espresso bar and restaurant takes its name from the Italian for "the beach". The kitchen leans on cucina povera: pasta, pastries, aperitivo and espresso to grab and go. The wine list has drawn recognition, named Australia's Best Listing of Italian Wines and a finalist for Australia's Wine List of the Year. Bookings help, but walk-ins are welcome.
