A converted garden cottage on the edge of Yarragon's browsable shopping strip, seating scattered under the trees and a sustainable garden out back that supplies some of the produce. The kitchen leans on certified-organic ingredients where it can, and over years of steady trade it has built a reputation for treating plant-based cooking as more than an afterthought: a creamy cauliflower-and-potato vegan pie, vegan sausage rolls with house tomato relish, winter vegan soups, and a willingness to veganise most vegetarian dishes on request. Staff are used to the questions and the food reads as inventive rather than dutiful, which has earned a loyal following among Gippsland's plant-based travellers. Pet- and child-friendly and open seven days for breakfast and lunch, it works as both a village pit stop off the Princes Highway and a reason to pull over in the first place.
