Set on the New South Wales side of the bridge from Yarrawonga, this airy lakeside room looks straight out over Lake Mulwala through tall arched windows. Conceived by local Liz McNaught, it has drawn attention beyond the district, Broadsheet among the coverage, for pizza built on a three-day slow-fermented sourdough base and a tomato sauce cooked down for hours from San Marzano tomatoes. Cheese and charcuterie boards lean on small Victorian artisan producers, and the wine list favours nearby King Valley and Rutherglen makers, with Dukes Coffee running through the espresso machine. Walnut ceilings and marble tiles give the space a considered, city-adjacent feel unusual for a river town. The kitchen also runs a catering arm serving events across the surrounding region.
